Vladimir was a student at Brest State Technical University. He was detained for comments made after the death of Andrei Zeltser in a Minsk apartment. Security forces arrived at his place shortly after he left the comment. Vladimir was added to the "list of terrorists" and "list of extremists." He is recognized as a political prisoner by the human rights center
